This endangered endemic species though very
related to Peucedanum tauricum is mesohygrophile, in deep
contrast with the mentioned taxon which is a xeric steppe
element.
West of Ohaba, immediately south of the
highway DN68A / E673 near the waterdivide, Hunedoara county, 3rd of
August 2006. A very small and isolated population, discovered
probably by luck. The plant grows in a woodland of Quercus
cerris where the dominant species is Calamagrostis epigeios
and not Molinia coerulea as is the general case for
this species.
