This endangered endemic species though very related to Peucedanum tauricum is mesohygrophile, in deep contrast with the mentioned taxon which is a xeric steppe element. 

West of Ohaba, immediately south of the highway DN68A / E673 near the waterdivide, Hunedoara county, 3rd of August 2006. A very small and isolated population, discovered probably by luck. The plant grows in a woodland of Quercus cerris where the dominant species is Calamagrostis epigeios and not Molinia coerulea as is the general case for this species.
