Peucedanum rochelianum Heuff.

Flora Europaea perennial, H mesohygrophyle nemoral Dacian endemic (Sibiu Depression, Hateg Basin, northern part of Timis-Cerna corridor, Lipova Tableland) Molinietalia R3708-3716 habitats         This endangered endemic species though very related to Peucedanum tauricum is mesohygrophile, in deep contrast with the mentioned taxon which is a xeric steppe element.  West of Ohaba, immediately south of the highway DN68A / E673 near the waterdivide, Hunedoara county, 3rd of August 2006. A very small and isolated population, discovered probably by luck. The plant grows in a woodland of Quercus cerris where the dominant species is Calamagrostis epigeios and not Molinia coerulea as is the general case for this species. dr.
